Position title
Education Director - HAICI School and Community Learning Programs
Description
Oversee educational initiatives including the HAICI School for Agriculture (Heritage Agrarian Institute of Caribbean Innovation) and community learning programs within the garden network.
Responsibilities
- Develop curriculum for sustainable agriculture education at HAICI School
- Coordinate with HAICI School leadership and instructors
- Design community workshops and training programs for FFGA members
- Manage educational partnerships with schools and organizations
- Oversee volunteer training and certification programs
- Evaluate educational program effectiveness and student outcomes
- Support HAICI's goal of 100 online students and future 80 on-site students
- Integrate heritage preservation with modern agricultural education
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Education, Agriculture, or related field
- 5+ years experience in educational program development
- Knowledge of sustainable agriculture and permaculture
- Experience with adult education and community training
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills
- Familiarity with online learning platforms (WordPress/Eduma theme experience preferred)
