Position title
Community Engagement Director - Member Relations and Volunteer Coordination
Description

Build and maintain strong relationships with community garden members while coordinating volunteer activities and engagement initiatives to foster a thriving, connected community.

Responsibilities
  • Develop member recruitment and retention strategies for FFGA community gardens
  • Coordinate volunteer programs and activities through CCIV (Caribbean Community of Impact Volunteers)
  • Organize community events, celebrations, and educational workshops
  • Manage member communications and feedback systems
  • Facilitate conflict resolution between members and volunteers
  • Support new member onboarding and orientation processes
  • Oversee volunteer matching and placement for garden activities
  • Coordinate with Vicky's Keys Volunteer Center operations
  • Develop community partnerships and outreach programs
  • Manage social media engagement and community communications
  • Track member satisfaction and engagement metrics
Qualifications
  • Experience in community organizing or volunteer management
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of community development principles
  • Experience with event planning and coordination
  • Multilingual capabilities preferred (English, Dutch)
  • Passion for community building and social equity
  • Familiarity with volunteer management systems
  • Understanding of Caribbean community dynamics
