Position title
Community Engagement Director - Member Relations and Volunteer Coordination
Description
Build and maintain strong relationships with community garden members while coordinating volunteer activities and engagement initiatives to foster a thriving, connected community.
Responsibilities
- Develop member recruitment and retention strategies for FFGA community gardens
- Coordinate volunteer programs and activities through CCIV (Caribbean Community of Impact Volunteers)
- Organize community events, celebrations, and educational workshops
- Manage member communications and feedback systems
- Facilitate conflict resolution between members and volunteers
- Support new member onboarding and orientation processes
- Oversee volunteer matching and placement for garden activities
- Coordinate with Vicky's Keys Volunteer Center operations
- Develop community partnerships and outreach programs
- Manage social media engagement and community communications
- Track member satisfaction and engagement metrics
Qualifications
- Experience in community organizing or volunteer management
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of community development principles
- Experience with event planning and coordination
- Multilingual capabilities preferred (English, Dutch)
- Passion for community building and social equity
- Familiarity with volunteer management systems
- Understanding of Caribbean community dynamics
