Food Farm Gardens St. Maarten (FFG) is transforming Caribbean agriculture through community-driven food sovereignty. As both a Community Gardens (CG) and Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) organization, we’re proving that sustainable farming can honor our heritage while building resilient communities for the future.
Located at the historic 300+ year-old Plantation Succour, FFG operates on remnant plantation acres where colonial history meets cutting-edge agricultural innovation. Our mission is simple yet powerful: grow food, grow community, grow hope.
From Colonial Past to Sustainable Future
Every seed planted at Plantation Succour advances our commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. We’re not just growing food – we’re cultivating the next generation of Caribbean agripreneurs through our HAICI School for Agriculture, creating economic opportunities through partnerships with local restaurants and hospitality companies, and proving that small islands can achieve big agricultural impact.
FFG represents more than farming. We’re a movement toward food sovereignty, community resilience, and Caribbean pride. Join us in growing the future, one harvest at a time.
Our Dual Approach
Community Gardens Program
We provide individual garden plots where Sint Maarten families can grow their own food, preserve Caribbean agricultural traditions, and connect with neighbors who share their passion for sustainable living. Members can choose to start with a >30m² or >50m² plot that offers members the chance to cultivate everything from traditional callaloo to hurricane-resistant vegetables.
Community Supported Agriculture
Through our CSA program, we aim to produce 324,000 kg of fresh, organic vegetables annually through arable soil tillage combined with using advanced Cooling House technology. Our 400+ member families receive weekly harvest boxes while supporting local farmers and building food security that can weather any storm.
We aim to prove that small islands can achieve big agricultural impact through community collaboration and sustainable innovation
